Ford v8 Boss 315 - Vehicle Wrap

Concept designed, digitally printed full wrap to this privately owned Ford V8 Boss 315 display Ute.

The brief was setup for us to design a full wrap that was eye-catching and to include various features based on the vehicle type, its history, its name and some Australian iconic visual elements. From there we developed the character logo and and street sign name Matilda, in the recognised shapes and colours of the native Australian street signage. With the vehicle being a Ford V8 we wanted to have the concept work in 2 ways. 1 it needed to be fun as this is a personal vehicle and 2 it still needed to showcase it's sporty and powerful side. So using the zip concept we could show it's tough carbon fibre exterior, unzipping that exterior and allowing us to experience the fun, friendly and soft interior of the vehicles character.
We also designed the shield logo incorporating the ford and V8 logos as a feature of the vehicles heart. The design came together very well and the colours really worked along side each other perfectly. Particular care and attention to the application was required with this being a show vehicle. So wing mirrors, door handles and all external fixtures were removed prior to the wrapping process and carefully replaced afterwards allowing us to perform a very high quality and uncomplicated finish. All digitally printed on to our standard 3M iJ-180 vehicle wrap conformable air release re-positional material and UV laminated. Hope you see it around!
